Wedding Makeup Inspired by the Stars

Brides are beautiful. They just are. They can't help it. All that joy and happiness just comes oozing out. But girls (most, anyway) being girls, they want to take one step more toward perfection. They want to look extra-special. Some even want to emulate the look of their favorite star. Here's how...

J Lo-The first step is to apply either a primer for that extra glow followed by foundation or a foundation/primer combination. Set the foundation with pressed powder for the look of J Lo's dewy skin. Eyes are next; a soft, neutral shadow from base of the upper lashes to the brow line, followed up by a smoky shadow on the lid. Scant eyeliner on the bottom lid along the lash line should come next and be followed with either false lashes or two or three layers of a volumizing mascara. Cheeks should be highlighted with a cream blush in a peach color to match your skin tone. The final touch? Sheer lip gloss for truly kissable lips.

Beyonce- You can get the glam Beyonce look by applying a scant layer of foundation followed by powder just a shade lighter. Clean, but heavier brows need to be natural looking but full. The eyes have it when it comes to darker shades of gray or bronze. Not natural looking, but clearly sophisticated instead of clown-like. False lashes work for the Beyonce look, but two or three layers of lengthening mascara works well, too. Bronzed cheek bones that look natural and neutral or basic toned lips finish it up.

Kate Middleton- The hands-down favorite for all you girls who like the no-fuss natural look. She is naturally pretty-her smile and sparkling eyes don't require much 'work'. And if you'd take an honest look at yourself in the mirror you'd likely discover that you don't need a lot of 'work' either to be among the most beautiful girls in the world. Natural, thicker brows are groomed but definitely aren't precision shaped. Foundation probably isn't one of her daily staples, but a light application of a rosy cream blush accents the apples of her cheeks and her cheekbones. Pressed powder sets her rosy glow in place. As for the eyes, smoky shadows, eyeliner and a coat of mascara to add volume and length are all it takes to finish out the 'Kate look'.

Kim Kardashian places the emphasis on her eyes. Dark, smoky shades give the drama affect, are lined (both upper and lower) and have lashes that sport both volume and length. 'Kim cheeks', as we'll call them, are dotted with blush in pink tones and blended well. The blush, however, is applied over a foundation with a good SPF-one with an illuminator, as well. Kim's favorite way to accentuate her lips is with Nars lip gloss in Turkish delight and MAC lip liner and lip stick.
